We’re really excited about this group from Dayton driving up to perform for us tonight. They are skilled talented musicians who produce a smooth acoustic sound with a blend of instruments and vocals.
The Curt Duncan Trio – combining the best of classic rock, singer – songwriter covers, obscure musical gems and original music, this Dayton-based group offers a highly entertaining mix of acoustic-based, three part harmony gems. Have the winter doldrums have left you with a case of terminal cabin fever? Then join us for a warm, fun-filled evening with the Curt Duncan Trio on Friday, February 20, at The Meeting Place on Market Street, Lima’s premier Musical Showcase Coffeehouse.
It was improbable that the paths of Curtis Duncan, Tom Downs, and Brad Peppo would have ever crossed, coming as they do from different parts of the country and ranging generationally from “Boomers” to Gen-Xers. But cross their paths did, and now these four are forging a unique, fresh sounding and lively approach to the music they love to sing and play.
Duncan has a strong background in rock, pop and acoustic music, while Downs brings an awesome command of jazz to the table. Brad Peppo is the youngest and newest performer, and his vocal presence helps to round out the group’s vocal harmonies. Put them together and you get familiar tunes presented with a fresh twist, obscure gems, a healthy serving of originals and more than a dash of humor and laughter thrown in for good measure!
